Police have released an image of a man wanted for questioning after a domestic incident on Sunday night that developed into a siege which lasted until lunchtime Monday.

About 9.30pm on Sunday, police say 46-year-old Anthony Bethune became involved in an altercation with a 39-year-old woman during which threats were allegedly made in Middle Street, Gundagai.
Police searched a caravan in Middle Street owned by the man where it is alleged they found two firearms.
Following this police attended an address in Tom Street, Gundagai, shortly after 12.30am on Monday, with the intention of arresting Anthony Bethune, in relation to the domestic violence incident.
Police established a perimeter around the house in Tom Street and negotiators as well as other specialist resources attended the scene.
Police attempted to contact the man they believed was inside the house, for more than seven hours.
By 12.30pm police entered the premises to find the man had escaped.
“We are seeking the public’s help to find this man, and for any information about the weapons that were seized,” Tumut Police Detective Inspector Stephen Radford said.
Anthony Bethune is considered dangerous and police are urging anyone who sees him not to approach, but to call Crime Stoppers immediately on 1800 333 000.
UPDATE: A man has evaded police after a lengthy siege at a Gundagai property this morning.
Police officers entered the building after establishing a perimeter but found no trace of the man.
Cootamundra LAC crime manager Scott Wilkinson suspected the man must have escaped prior to the perimeter being set.
“Officers went in and searched the house but we believe the man got out earlier,” Detective Inspector Wilkinson said.
“No weapons or dangerous materials were found inside the premises.”
Detective Inspector Wilkinson said investigations into the man’s whereabouts were ongoing.
EARLIER: Police are trying to negotiate with a man who is refusing to leave a house in Tom Street Gundagai.
The man is known to police and is understood to be speaking to them about domestic matters.
Specialist resources have been diverted to the scene to help bring about a safe conclusion for the man and police.
Police said it is unknown if the man is armed.
The man is believed to be alone in the house.
