Author of Mr Bambuckle’s Remarkables, Tim Harris, will be a special guest at the Sustainable Living Festival.
The festival, being held at Wagga Lutheran Primary School on Saturday, will feature a wide range of businesses and organisations in a specially designed “green market”, including Erin Earth, Planet Power, Solar Wise and VIVA nutritional workshops and cooking classes.
There will be performances by award-winning singing group Murrumbidgee Magic, former student Zoe Crawford, Mina’s Dance Academy and the Riverina Conservatorium of Music.
Wagga City Council will be providing hints and tips on how to use less plastic.
“There is much to see, do and enjoy at the festival, starting with a large number of school stalls,” school principal Peter Weier said.
“These include recycled treasures, books and clothing, plants and garden ideas, barbecue and drinks, home-cooked delights, family activities and a silent auction,”
The festival, themed “Healthy You, Healthy Family, Healthy Life”, will be held from 10am to 3pm.
