The Rodney Lemon trained gelding will line up in a Menangle Country Series heat at Wagga on Friday.
Before the win in a fast time a month ago, Alabama Tyson had been unplaced in his last three starts.
Two of those were in Menangle Country Series heats, but with a front row draw this time around Lemon is confident another good showing despite plenty of early speed inside.
“He’s going good and I expect him to go well,” Lemon said.
“It doesn’t matter where he sits, if he’s death seat, leader or in the one-one he always puts his best effort in.”
Sky Falcon will also have his first start for the West Wyalong trainer.
He’s been unplaced in his last nine starts, spanning back to May, but Lemon is happy with how he comes into the race.
“I’ve had him for about a month or so now and he’s working good, but apparently he always works good,” Lemon said.
“It is just his racing manner and whether he wants to be there or not.
“Hopefully I’ve got him switched on.”
