The Samoans named their squad for the World Cup, and the warm-up clash at Wagga, on Friday.
The 23-man squad to full of players with plenty of NRL experience
Josh Papalii was a surprise inclusion.
The Canberra forward has played eight Tests for Australia, including this year’s game against New Zealand in May, but is set to make his Samoan debut.
He joins Raiders teammat Joey Leilua in the team to tackle the best under 23-year-olds in Wagga.
Junior Paulo, who also plays for Canberra, is also in the squad but is unavailable for the clash in Wagga alongside former Bulldogs halfback Ben Roberts, who is playing in the Super League grand final this weekend, and Ricky Leutele.
Coach Matt Parish believes he has assembled a strong, experienced squad.
“Despite some players being unavailable due to injury we have a very strong squad that will do Samoa proud,” Parish said.
