The Music 4 Mates committee are banding together to support Jarrod Edyvean’s 12 hours shearing effort.
Mr Edyvean is shearing to raise awareness for mental health after losing two people close to him to suicide.
The Music 4 Mates committee jumped at the chance to support him and organised the Shear 4 Mates concert on October 14.
The free event will be run in conjunction with the shear-a-thon with live music, entertainment and sheep races just some of the events set to be held on the day.
The aim is to promote suicide awareness and educate the community about the signs that someone is contemplating suicide by seeking help from mental health, drug and alcohol representatives.

The Music 4 Mates committee was established in 2013 after a group of people from Coolamon saw a need to promote suicide awareness and prevention at a local level.
They aim to break the stigma attached to suicide, encourage people to talk openly and promote help seeking.
