Suckling will take part in Fox Footy’s Longest Kick competition where the biggest boots in the AFL will attempt to kick a footy across the Yarra River as part of the grand final festivities.
Suckling will go up against the likes of Josh Kennedy, Bryce Gibbs, Jayden Hunt and Ben Brown for the chance to win $10,000.
The longest kick will take home the money, and Gibbs won it last year after launching one 72 metres.
“I’ve been lucky enough to be involved in grand finals since 2012 so this is the first time I’ve got the chance to do it,” Suckling said.
“I’ve been kicking an NFL ball a little bit of late so hopefully that practice comes in handy.”
Suckling said he will be trying to launch a torpedo rather than the safer option of a drop punt.
“It’s all or nothing,” he said.
The competition takes place at 10am and is televised on Fox Footy.
In the big one, Suckling is tipping Adelaide to win and Matt Crouch for the Norm Smith Medal.
