According to the Bureau of Meteorology, the wild weather might not be over this spring, with hot temperatures predicted in coming weeks.
“We tend to see the extremes during this time with warmer temperatures followed by a drop,” a BOM spokeswoman said.
“This is due to alternating pressure systems and low pressure systems coming through.”
With hot weather records broken across the state on Saturday, residents swarmed outside to get some much needed vitamin D with a top temperature of 32.9 degrees.
“Whether anymore records will be broken is difficult to talk to but we are expecting the continued pattern of outlying hotter days followed by colder outbreaks,” the spokeswoman said.
“As we move toward summer this will become more common.”
