Jerilderie Race Club’s annual Cup meeting was abandoned after three races on Saturday.
Stewards spoke with senior riders following the third race regarding the strong winds and the suitability to continue racing.
Initially, all races were put back one to see if the conditions improved, but the meeting was eventually called off due to it being unsafe for racing and the unfavourable forecast.
Wantabadgery trainer Rodger Waters and Wagga jockey Bryan Murphy combined to win the opening event with Where’s Pippa ($3.00).
