Angland produced a brilliant ride to guide Trapeze Artist ($41.00) to victory in the $1 million De Bortoli Wines Golden Rose (1400m) at Rosehill.
Angland managed to find cover on the back of favourite, Menari, from the outside gate on Trapeze Artist and it was the key as they raced away for a dominant 4¼ length victory.
Trapeze Artist is trained by Gerald Ryan, who finished with first and third in the race, with Menari finishing third.
It was Angland’s seventh group one win and his second this year after winning the Coolmore Classic on Heavens Above.
He is booked to ride Fell Swoop in the Everest.
