Had they had parents they would not have been “the first” of people.
Even if they evolved from primates, the first primate did not have parents either, and besides the process of evolutions had to have a beginning. How did it start?
Every person, without exception, has been born of a woman.
Nature therefore prescribed that for preventing the extinction of the human race, a man and a woman union would be essential.
And in so invert regime, culture and form of religion marriage has been a uniting of the two genders.
Therefore from the very beginning history has recorded marriage as being that of “one man and one woman for life and to bear the next generation.”
However, in this 21st of centuries, that is being declared all wrong, and a new form of marriage is being advocated by naive politicians, radical activists and some business people.
The wisdom of time and the lessons of history are being dismissed.
Will the Australian population go down that path?

Not council’s problem
As you are aware there is an increasing divisiveness about council supporting the flying of the LGBTIQ rainbow flag or not.
It is absolutely not council’s responsibility to support or not support same-sex marriage.
You, councillors, represent all of Wagga’s residents and it is therefore not your task or responsibility to support one group or another.
You are to remain neutral.
If you support one of the two sides you know full well that you go against the conviction of the other side.
Please use your wisdom and common sense by not choosing sides but concentrate on what really are your responsibilities.

Change the terminology
As the law now stands, every person over the minimum age has the right to marry.
However you can only marry a person of the opposite sex.
Herein lies the problem.
It is not the law that stops this certain minority of people from marrying, but the definition of the word “marriage”.
A new word would have to be found to describe the union of same sex couples.
Governments do not and cannot legislate to change the definition of words in our dictionaries.
Dictionaries are compiled by lexicographers who deeply research the meanings of words and I doubt they ask governments their opinions.
This survey is not dissimilar to a referendum.
Most referendums are about a minority group wanting to change the viewpoint of the vast majority of the people in the country.
Mostly the result is that the No vote prevails.
Not surprising!
