The Crows had been close, losing grand finals in 2006, 2008 and 2016 before finally getting the job done against Collingullie-Glenfield Park by six points at Narrandera Sportsground.
“It’s a little bit surreal at the moment. The boys have worked hard all year,” Lang said.
“You can see by the crowd today, it’s an awesome feeling. You’ve seen grown men cry and that’s the first time since I lost a grand final myself.
“There’s been a good spirit the last couple of years. Last year we were just a bit stiff. But this year, they didn’t have the best start to the season but kept working, working, working, led by Hodgey and the boys.”
Lang said it took a whole club effort to get where they are today.
“We’ve got a great committee, great sponsors, supporters, so we just roll our sleeves up and do the dirty work so these guys can play footy,” he said.
