Twin brothers Ben and Sean Keith will run out for their first senior grand final when the Demons take on Leeton-Whitton in the premiership decider.
It will be a big couple of days after the pair graduated from year 12 at Wagga High School on Friday.
“It’s been a pretty big week,” Ben said.
The pair both made their senior debuts at age 15, and now at 17 they will run out for their first grand final.
“It’s a pretty surreal opportunity I suppose,” Sean said.
“Come to think we only started six years ago, playing for a bit of fun we didn’t know where we’d end up with it. I’m pretty excited about it.”
The pair enjoy playing alongside one another.
“It’s good, it’s always comforting to have someone there that you’re familiar with and you know how each other play,” Sean said.
While excited about the opportunity to play on the big stage together, both are aiming higher.
“It will be as good winning it with him as it will with the rest of the boys. It will be unreal,” Ben said.
“It will be reward for the big year that we’ve had. We’ve all worked really hard.”
And as for their teammates and how they go telling the boys apart, the Keith twins see the funny side to it.
“There’s only about two blokes there that can tell us apart,” Sean said.
“Most of the blokes just call us both Keithy. That’s the easy option.”
