With sumo wrestling, an egg and spoon race and a tug of war, there will be no shortage of entertainment as workers put their best foot forward to earn the title of U.G.L.Y. Bartender of the Year.
With all funds raised to head toward Leukaemia Foundation’s vital accommodation service, the event supports regional families.
Every $80 entry raised during the competition will fund one night’s accommodation for a patient and their carers while they access treatment in Sydney.
The Astor Inn’s Jane Stanley, who competed in the event last year, said it was a great cause which everyone gets on board with.
“I have family with cancer and it’s just one of those things, another terrible debilitating disease,” Ms Stanley said.
“It’s all for a good cause.”
The event will be held at the Farmers Home Hotel on October 15.
