East Wagga-Kooringal backman Chris Hommes could face a short suspension at the start of next year after being charged with forceful, front-on contact on Marrar’s Rory Block in their preliminary final a fortnight ago.

Hommes was charged by AFL Riverina’s match review panel on video evidence for a first-quarter bump on Block while the Marrar forward had his head over the ball during the game at Robertson Oval.
Graded high and careless, with medium impact, the charge carries a two-match ban, or one week with an early guilty plea.
The Hawks have until Monday to consider whether to accept or contest the charge.
