JUST to be recognised as an award contender is very uplifting. So, the recent Riverina League Presentation night held a few unexpected surprises for the humble Narrandera contingent. Jason Williams was surprised to learn of his club nomination for the volunteer of the year award, which was eventually won by Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes president David Griffin.
Narrandera players nominated for the rising star awards in their respective categories were Lexie Tuckett and Isaac Williams.
