The local player and selector said the team, which consists of players from across the city’s local clubs, could conceivably compete in a host of future tournaments, including the Country Championships.
“Most of the guys grew up playing together before joining their current clubs, so it's great to bring the whole competition back together again,” Hoogers said.
Wagga played out a 9-9 draw with North Western in the opening contest at Jubilee Park on Saturday, before downing a much younger Titans squad 27-6 in game two later in the day.
Scott Hawkins starred for Wagga in the second contest, pitching five strikeouts.
The local side then clinched the decider with an 8-6 win on Sunday.
It was slow start for Wagga until Warrick Pethybridge woke up the bats with a three-base hit to get two players home safely.
Reid Kemna was vigilant on the mound.
