Teka guided the Blues from the wooden spoon to the preliminary final this season before Tumut president Tom Arragon announced the club will advertise the role.
Believing the writing was the wall, Teka has no intention of returning to the club.
He’s been left devastated by how the situation unfolded.
“I won’t be coaching Tumut,” Teka said.
“The way this has panned out has been devastating.
“I encourage clubs to make decisions that they believe are beneficial for the club and I have no grudges.
“If they think a direction other than myself is the way to go I am all for it, but the way they went about it was gutless.
“It has got me gobsmacked and lost for words to say how disappointed I am about it.”
Teka only heard plans for Tumut to advertise his role when contacted by The Daily Advertiser on Monday.
He is still yet to hear from Blues officials about the matter.
“That is the part that has been most upsetting,” Teka said.
“They obviously have a plan and haven’t been forthcoming and honest about it to me.
“They have been secretive, going behind my back and that is the part I am pissed off about the most.”
Teka believes his relationship with Arragon is the cause of the problem.
“Me and him had a bit of a fall out at the start of the year,” he said.
Tumut have been cellar dwellers of the Group Nine competition for the best five years before a remarkable turnaround under Teka this season.
A number of players had credited buying into Teka’s approach as the reason for their success.
The 38-year-old remains proud of what the team accomplished.
“I was pleased and really proud of the progress we had made this year as a club and as a team,” Teka said.
“That is why this has come as even more of a shock.”
He’s also disappointed with lack of transparency, especially at the club’s presentation night last week.
“I found a few things out and a lot of people have been playing dumb towards what is going on,” Teka said.
“A bit of respect would have been appreciated so I could have thanked the people I needed to thank throughout the year at presentation night on Friday.
“I could have been clear with everyone.”
It is expected the coaching role will be filled internally.
