The Swans marched in to the season finale with a crushing 8.14 (62) to 1.6 (12) win against Turvey Park two weeks ago.
They kept the Bulldogs goalless for the first three quarters on the way to keeping their unbeaten record intact.
Captain Cameron Harrison said strong defence has laid the foundation for their dream run.
“I think we’ve got the lowest number of points conceded we’ve ever had. The defence has been great,” Harrison said. “But we also back ourselves to score points when we need them.”
The Swans dominated the home and away season, finishing three wins clear of Collingullie-Glenfield Park, scoring an average of 86 points a game, and conceding only 30 against.
Harrison is confident his team can come home with the goods on the big day.
“It’ll be a tough game but we’ve got a good record against Collingullie,” he said.
“We’ve also got a good record in Narrandera.”
The Swans beat the Demons by 10 points when they first met in round five, then enjoyed a four-goal win in the return encounter at Griffith.
Collingullie-GP only lost one other game during the regular season, but then dropped the qualifying final to the Bulldogs in the first week of finals.
But they regrouped to beat Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes by five points, and then exacted sweet revenge on Turvey Park with a 63-point win in last week’s preliminary final, with Zac Billingham kicking five goals and Nick Cooper also impressive.
