Students at Ganmain Public School share in a rich history every day when they sit down at their desks.
The main classroom was first built in 1911 and is still used for that purpose today.
The school's original building (which is no longer standing) was constructed using the “best colonial pine” but was upgraded to accommodate the large number of students.
The school is set to celebrate their 125 year anniversary along with the town itself.
Librarian Jody Graham has a strong connection with the school after attending the school as a student and now working there.
“Over the years the school grounds have evolved with addition of admin building at the front and covered outdoor learning areas,” she said.
When Ms Graham attended the school everything was very open and exposed but today improvements have made the school a comfortable place to be with a computer for every child.
The latest improvement has been a new playground.
With 28 students and four teachers the school is more than equipped to provide a quality learning experience.
The team at Ganmain are looking forward to welcoming back past students, principals, families and friends of the school.

The school will host the official welcoming on Saturday October 7 from 12.30pm.
School captain Abbey Hamblin and vice-captain Chloe Clark will run the formal part of the day before classrooms will be opened featuring historical class photos.
A Scholastic book fair will also be run allowing people to “leave a lasting memory at Ganmain for the celebration.”
Anyone who buys a book and donates it to the school will have a sticker placed inside the cover to show they donated it.
“I’ve found books that have been donated by past families and students and it’s really lovely,” Ms Graham said.
