Artist Kerri Weymouth is from Coleambally and it was her first time at the field day. Said the art piece represents biodiversity within the agriculture industry.
“It’s very good to be representing Landcare because they are always looking for more ways to support local communities,” she said.
“That’s what this artwork is about; getting support from anyone who wants to lend a hand and be part of something bigger.”
Julie Bettallo from Murrumbidgee Landcare wanted people to know that there is more to sustainability than just planting trees.
“It's also about sustainable agriculture, how farmers can farm smarter using technology and meet natural resource management outcomes as well. The other thing we are looking at is how we can incorporate art into the landcare world ” she said.
