Six current Southern Inland rugby women’s sevens players, plus three former players, have been selected in the initial Brumbies squad for the national championship.

CSU pair Claudia Obst and Sophie Quirk, Leeton’s Ua Ravu and Cecilia Smith plus Ag College’s Harriet Elleman Tumut’s Kiahan Bellchambers have been selected.
Former SIRU players Jane Garraway, Sammy Maxwell and Remi Wilton are also in contention to be named for the national championships in November.
The region is also well represented in the men’s sevens squad with Leeton players Emori Vulagi, Simon Vunilagi, Joe Ratu and Petero Taitusi selected plus former Phantoms Angus Allen and Maika Ravouvou.
Both squads will be cut.
