The evergreen centre-half-back confirmed he was going to retire 12 months ago.
“I was, yeah,” Taylor said. “I nearly hung them up and then I got a call from Sparks and that sort of got me round the corner, give me a few things I could work on and made life a little bit easier for me. So I pulled them on again and I’m so glad I did. It’s a dream come true.”
Taylor, 34, first came to the club in 2000 and brother Mitch, 28, has been there for 13 years.

“It’s just a relief mate,” Mitch said. “A relief for the whole club and the community. And to play with my brother and all those boys, it’s just terrific.”
Captain Josh Hagar said no-one deserved a premiership at Marrar more than the Taylors.
