Barellan, Northern Jets and Temora all win netball premierships

Honours were shared on the netball court early on grand final day, as Barellan, the Northern Jets and Temora all claimed Farrer League premierships.

The Two Blues took out a tight A Reserve Grade decider against the Jets, getting home on the back of a big fourth quarter.

The teams went into the final term all tied up at 25-apiece but Barellan, led by Renae Rawle in attack, powered to a 37-33 win.

Barellan had led by a point at the first two changes. Rawle was named best-on-court.

The Jets had been hoping for a double on grand final day, after taking out the B Grade title.

League medallist Renae Manning capped a big season with a best-on-court in the big one.

While Temora’s day was off to a flying start when their C Grade netballers won the first match of the day.

The Kangaroos claimed a thriller against Barellan, getting home by two points. Meg Gaynor was best on court.
