Three years on Taylor has managed to come out the other side, having finished chemotherapy in May last year.
Mother Rachelle Mintern now wants to help those families who supported them, hosting Wagga’s Light the Night.
It’s a special occasion for Ms Mintern and her daughter in their first year of hosting the event, aimed at showing families they are not alone – even during the darkest hour.
“I just want to give back to those families who did it for us,” Ms Mintern said.
The event will include a lantern walk, entertainment, a jumping castle, face painting and various food vendors.
The event will be held on October 7 at the Victory Memorial Gardens, from 5.30 to 8.30pm.
