Mathew John Seal, 26, is facing three common assault charges against three different alleged victims.
Seal’s solicitor, Greg Reynolds, confirmed pleas of not guilty to all charges in Wagga Local Court on Wednesday.
“It seems like your client might like to go to prison,” Magistrate Erin Kennedy said.
“He has written saying he would no longer like to report to community corrections and would prefer a period in custody. Extraordinary.”
According to charge sheets tendered to the court, the assaults occurred on January 28, April 19 and May 26 this year. The case will next return to court on October 23. A hearing date has been set for two of the charges, on February 15 and March 8.
