Wagga footballer Dougal Howard broke an AFL record in Port Adelaide’s dramatic finals loss to West Coast on Saturday night.

Howard, in just his 10th AFL game, broke the record for the most ‘one percenters’ recorded in an AFL game.

Howard had 22 one percenters, eclipsing Josh Gibson’s previous record of 21.

Aside from his great personal game, it proved a had way for Howard’s season to end as they went down after the siren in extra time.

Howard has re-signed at the Power until the end of 2019.
