Southern Inland rugby manager Mick McTaggart was thrilled by the response to hosting the grand final in Leeton.

Changing tradition and allowing the winner of the major semi-final to host the decider this season, McTaggart was impressed by the crowd, facilities and the local reaction to the big day.
“I was very happy with the crowd,” McTaggart said.
“I think Leeton did a great job, they promoted it as much as they could and I think the community got behind them.
“Obliviously the crowd swelled up for the women’s game and the main game, but I think everyone has had a great day.”
McTaggart was pleased with the number of travellers across from Wagga and while the attendance figures are not yet known, he does not believe anyone could be disappointed with the venue or the atmosphere.
“The games were unbelievable and the biggest winning margin all day was five points,” McTaggart said.
