Roddy scored three tries in his 100th game for Tumut as the Blues swept past Kangaroos 58-12 in last Saturday’s elimination final.
Tumut must now travel to Young on Saturday to take on the Cherrypickers in a sudden death minor semi-final.
Roddy is confident the Blues can get the job done, but recognised they must rise to the occasion.
“We’re playing some good footy at the moment,” Roddy said.
“I’m not trying to put Kangaroos down but we’ll need to take another step up this week.
“Young made the top three so they’re a good footy side.”
Roddy, 28, last played for Tumut in 2013 before rejoining the squad this year.
He won premierships with the Blues in 2008 and 2010 and believes this year’s group has what it takes to go all the way.
“I think we’ve got the team to win it and the team knows that as well,” he said.
“We’ve still got to take it a week at a time because we’ve still got to get past Young first.”
Roddy said there is a good feeling at Tumut at the moment and the return of Dan Killan last weekend has only added to that.
“It’s probably been my most enjoyable year so far,” he said.
“There’s been a new way of going about things this year, which has been good.”
While he hopes there is bigger things to come in the next few weeks, Roddy said a hat-trick of tries in his 100th game will be something he always cherishes.
“It was good to do that in my 100th game,” he said.
“I was pretty proud to be apart of that team performance, to be honest. Everyone played pretty well, I don’t think anyone had a bad game.
“That was the main thing, to be part of such a good team performance.
“I won’t forget it any time soon.”
