Magistrate Bruce Williams addressed residents in a ceremony at the courthouse and spoke of its history in the town and the cases it has seen.
“I feel privileged to be a part of this commemorative ceremony celebrating 125 years of an historically important courthouse, a building that has played a vital role in the provision of justice to both Hay and the local region,” he said.
