As his dad was sworn in as the newest Member of the Legislative (MLC), Caspar brought his friend, Flat Stanley, to the proceedings.
Year 1 students at Lutheran Primary School were given their own Flat Stanley, a character from a children’s book, to take on holidays.
Caspar’s Flat Stanley might have the most exciting journey as he sat on the chair at Government House and posed for photos.
Deputy Premier and NSW Nationals leader John Barilaro and Deputy Leader of the NSW National Niall Blair were present as Mr Fang was sworn in by Governor of NSW His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC.
Mr Fang represents the National Party as he fills a vacancy left by the retirement of Duncan Gay.
“We has an incredible record when it comes to serving his community,” Mr Barilaro.
“Wes’s background and skills from working in the Australian Army and with ChildFlight will be of great benefit not only to the NSW Nationals but to the people of regional NSW.”
Mr Fang was also joined by his wife, mother, sister, aunt and his three children.
