The band is touring a special 20th anniversary record of their Guide to Better Living album, which propelled them to mainstream success in the 1990s.
John Hansen plays bass guitar in the band and said playing the shows will be a “nostalgic” experience.
“There’s a whole bunch of live stuff that we sifted through for the album and there were a couple of iconic shows we’ve get recordings of,” he said.
“It’s like a step back in time to hear us playing because those recordings were from (the 90s).”
“I think the thing with the album was a big album of the time and we’ve been playing several songs off it throughout our careers.”
The anniversary edition will see the original 16-track album expand to a mammoth 49 track feast of rarities, live tracks and recordings.
Mr Hanson said he felt an instant wave of enthusiasm from his fans when the band announced the national tour.
“It was awesome to get that feedback from your fans and that excitement,” he said.
“It sounds fresh to us to play these songs we haven’t played for a while and we hope our fans have the same feeling as well.”
“Right now we’re just looking at getting through this and doing these shows. You’ve got to live in the moment a bit and enjoy what you’re doing.”
