The Cherrypickers struggled to find any momentum in the clash at Anzac Park as they were blown off the park.
Poor discipline hurt the team in the first half as they gave the Tigers plenty of opportunities to score.
And when they had the ball, Gundagai’s defence had all the right answers.
Captain-coach James Woolford thought his team struggled to contain Gundagai’s strong start.
“We just didn’t play football," Woolford said.
“They pulled our pants down early and embarrassed us.”
A loss to Tumut last week cost the Pickers home ground advantage on Sunday, but Woolford remains confident they can reserve the result with their season on the line.
“I have complete faith in my boys,” he said.
“We get to go home and everything is on the line.
“It is do or die and their are no more second chances.”
