Despite scoring first at Twickenham, a lack of possession gave the Wagga club little chance of the beating the Blues.
After being five tries down at half-time the second stanza was not much better as Roos slipped to a 58-12 loss.
While their season is over, captain-coach Ben Jeffery was still pleased with the fighting qualities they showed throughout the year.
“There are six other teams who didn’t make the finals but we did and gave ourselves a chance,” Jeffery said.
“I’m extremely proud of our guys.
“We didn’t have the same team two weeks in a row with injuries .”.
Jeffery was also impressed by Tumut’s performance.
“They were great,” he said.
“The shape and the footy they threw at us was really good and if they can play that kind of footy they are going to trouble some teams.”
