Not only is it the organisation’s 60th anniversary, but construction work is soon to begin on the building phase of Hildasid Community Farm, on a site in Gregadoo Road donated by Dick and Maisie Nash in 2007.
Kurrajong’s development services manager Cathie Smith said a development application for work at Hildasid had been approved and all thjat was needed was a final construction certificate.
The aim of the Hildasid project is to provide a place for people with a disability and a wide range of community groups to connect and engage in meaningful activities, from creative arts, community gardening and animal rearing.
