The People and Place exhibition was created by Dr Nancy Blacklow in partnership with Charles Sturt University’s Regional Archives.
Museum of the Riverina exhibition curator Genevieve Mott said the display tells the stories of those businesses and people who made their lives during Wagga’s founding days.
“To this day, People and Place remains one of our most popular exhibitions,” she said.
“Visitors are fascinated by old pictures and memories from Wagga’s iconic businesses and places.
“We collaborated with Dr Nancy Blacklow and the CSU Regional Archives to unearth these pictures, stories and objects that show how things were.”
The People and Place exhibition would be on display at the museum’s botanic gardens site and Ms Mott said she hoped the display revealed “a little about the way things are today”.
