Carey has been suspended for two games after making an early guilty plea to striking Temora’s Dan Reid in the game at Gumly Oval last Saturday.
The base sanction was a three-game suspension, but an early guilty plea will see Carey miss two.
He will miss the Hawks’ huge showdown with the Jets at Ardlethan Sportsground on Saturday, and if they win, the Farrer League elimination final against The Rock-Yerong Creek at Maher Oval.
Whoever wins Saturday’s final round clash between the Hawks and Jets will finish in fifth.
