Hamilton has been cited for allegedly head butting CSU’s Jordan Ackland in last Saturday’s Farrer League game at Peter Hastie Oval.
It comes less than a month after he was cleared of two charges, striking and head butting, at the AFL Riverina independent tribunal, courtesy of a citation by East Wagga-Kooringal.
Hamilton is only two games shy of AFL’s national 16-game deregistration mark and missed the first half of this season due to suspensions stemming from last year’s Farrer League grand final.
The former Coleambally coach was one of three citations submitted to AFL Riverina on Tuesday in an eventful round of football.
Turvey Park assistant coach Truman Carroll was cited by Coolamon for an alleged high tackle that forced teenager Ryan Allen to hospital with concussion.
The Rock-Yerong Creek also cited Barellan footballer Malcolm Fernie for alleged rough conduct, a sling tackle, on Daniel Steele.
AFL Riverina football operations manager Shane Buchanan said all three citations will be investigated.
“Clubs have been asked to provide statements from the players involved or any witnesses and they have until Thursday 5pm to submit that information to AFL Riverina,” Buchanan said.
“That information and any video evidence will be forwarded on to the AFL Riverina investigating officer, who will determine if the players have a case to answer or not.
“Those who do will front the AFL Riverina independent tribunal.”
It is understood there is video footage of the incidents involving Hamilton and Carroll.
Given the process involved, the cases will not be sorted this week.
That means Hamilton, Carroll and Fernie will all be free to play on Saturday.
Carroll will be available for Turvey Park’s clash with arch-rivals Wagga Tigers, while Hamilton and Fernie will be free to face Temora and Marrar respectively.
