While it took the Bulls almost 30 minutes to get past halfway in the minor semi-final against Wagga City on Saturday they showed real fight despite a 31-21 loss.

Coming back from a 15-0 deficit to trail by one point at half-time, Tumut’s discipline proved costly.

Menzies Seumantafa and Brad Gorman were given their marching orders during the game while City also kicked four penalty goals.

Coach Morgan Grivas thought it proved costly.

“There was a lot of good spirit all day, but there was probably five or six moments that were critical but we just didn’t execute,” Grivas said.

“We could get (discipline) right early on, we knew it was going to be an important part of the game, and we gave the referee opportunities to penalise us.”

Despite once again ending their season in the second week of the finals, Grivas is still pleased with their efforts.
