There will be 24 teams take part, including five teams in the primary division for the first time.
First time participants, Cowra Hockey will send four teams and join regular visitors Griffith, Tumut and Young Hockey Associations.
Last year’s Packham Cup winners CSU Quackpack, this year named CSU Turtles, will again start favourites as top seed with a bunch of local sides, including Cavaliers and social teams Travis & Spud and Backyard Bogans, trying the claim the men’s title along with the two Griffith entries.
The six women’s teams will compete for the Schipps Trophy. CSU teams, Duck Yourself and reigning champions Ducklings, are expected to be up there, along with teams from Tumut and Griffith.
Wagga Hockey is excited by the formation of the junior primary division, which will be played on a modified field in an eight-a-side format on Noonan Field.
Teams from Cowra, Griffith and Adelong will compete in that format.
