The opening round of the Creed and Sally Shipard Shields, which were scheduled to kick off tomorrow, have been postponed due to wet weather.

Organisers say they are working on a new date for round one, with round two expected to go ahead on Wednesday next week.

It comes after the inaugural Sydney FC Cup was pushed back this week.

It was originally hoped that the girl’s component of the Cup, which was scheduled to begin a day later than the boy’s, would go ahead on Wednesday.
