But it was Kooringal who drew first blood, finding the back of the net with mere seconds remaining the first-half.
Wagga High had plenty of chances to score throughout the game, but left it late to equalise.
Their title aspirations looked to be slipping away at the hands of Kooringal for the second consecutive year, before Jack Boyd scored from inside the circle with 10 minutes remaining.
Boyd’s side then prevailed in a wild title-deciding shootout.
Goalkeeper Macaleb Jolliffe was on fire in goals, holding all but one ball out.
Connor Higgins and Jarrod Thorne were also standouts, according to Wagga High co-coach Jo Dare.
Dare said her team’s unselfishness was the key to their success.
“The guys have established a great culture of sharing the ball and they just play really well as a team,” she said.
“We’ve also had great leadership from the year 12 boys.”
