But now, the Blackburns have decided it’s time for a change and are putting the Baylis Street business on the market.
“It’s time,” Mr Blackburn said.
“I’ve had a few health issues, which have made us think it’s a good time to go.
“But I can honestly say I have loved every minute of the work.”
Mr Blackburn said once a new owner has taken over the reins and settled into the business, he and his wife intend to do a little bit of travelling.
Longer term, they plan to remain in Wagga and will be looking for a new challenge, career-wise.
“It’s time to see a little bit of the world,” Mr Blackburn said.
“It’s been really great. Kids I can remember as babies are now coming in, dressed in their school uniforms, to say hello.
“I imagine the new owners will find working here to be just as rewarding as we do.”
