The bitch was able to lead all the way to get her career of to a perfect start for Holbrook trainer Dirk Bosman.
After some impressive trial efforts, Bosman was thrilled by how she handled the occasion.
“She was asleep actually went I went in there (to the kennels), I had to wake up ,” Bosman said.
Crossing from box eight, Bosman was confident on a strong performance once she found the top.
He believes she’s a bitch with a future.
“She is a lovely little girl but I’ve had a lot of trouble with her,” he said. “She damaged an elbow but that’s right now and she’s been going good.”
Shandy Lear ($2.30) defeated by Dana Wax ($16.70) by over two lengths but it was far from the most impressive maiden victory.
Sheza Rippa was just outside the 320-metre track record when clocking 17.99 seconds to win for Peter Sims.
