The Kennedys celebrate exceptional coverage of events in print and broadcast.
Former The Daily Advertiser journalist Jack Morphet is nominated in the category of 2017 Young Journalist of the Year and the Chris Watson Award for Outstanding Regional Newspaper Reporting.
Mr Morphet is nominated in relation to his coverage of the Alan Eldridge resignation.
The awards will be held on August 11 in Sydney.
The Daily Advertiser had previous nominations and wins in 2012 for flood coverage, 2013 for print coverage of prostate biopsies in Wagga and online coverage of the search for Don Mackay’s body and 2015 for coverage of the Hunt family murders.
