Charles Sturt University (CSU) students have almost kicked their goal to raise $10,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

With the pool sitting at just under $9500, the Wax for a Wish event at the weekend saw one student shave her eyebrows off, and 10 others wax their arms, backs and legs.
It was an astounding result, according to vice president for Wagga’s Make-A-Wish branch, Dan Hayes.
“It’s fantastic of CSU and the students to pick Make-A-Wish for their charity,” he said.
“What I saw was the students going all out to help raise some much-needed funds for a great cause.
“I think it’s just wonderful and it shows there are some pretty motivated people out there who want to make a difference.”
A lot of money came from students donating their loose change, Mr Hayes said, and it was great to hear the the jingle “of people raising the tin cans” around,
“The person being waxed raised their own money,” he said.
“People then paid to nominate their friends as well.”
