Steve Rankin, the secretary of Wagga Rugby League, said his sport was happy to support the campaign alongside participants from rugby union, AFL, soccer, netball, hockey and cycling.
“Respect is important in the whole community and sport’s no different,” Mr Rankin said.
“We have the opportunity to get a lot of people together, so it’s a good opportunity to advertise the Respect Week and the Respect campaign.
“Wagga Rugby League, on behalf of the three senior clubs – Brothers, Kangaroos and South City – are more than happy to support that.”
Wagga Brothers are at home this weekend, so the players will be donning the yellow arm bands.
