A 44-year-old man was left with cuts to his face and arms after the attack, in which his phone, wallet and iPad were stolen.
The incident occurred just before 10pm on Wednesday night as the victim walked along Yambil Street towards Ulong Street.
He was on his phone when he was approached from behind by a man and woman.
The man grabbed the victim’s jumper and demanded his phone and wallet.
After a brief scuffle, the pair ran from the scene and the victim walked to Griffith Police Station where he reported the robbery.
Police described the assailants as a skinny man and woman, both with dark complexions and wearing black hoodies.
