Off the field the club is hosting its Ladies Day, not only celebrate the contribution of women in the club but to raise funds for the Amie St Clair Melanoma Trust.
Each grade will wear special pink jumpers as part of the fundraising effort.
On the field, they’re fighting for third spot against Tumut.
Only percentage separates the two teams and the winner will take a massive step towards earning a second chance in the finals.
Coming up against undefeated Leeton in the final round, the Boiled Lollies can’t afford a loss to the Bulls if they hope to finish in the top three.
Captain Nick Gleeson knows it will be a big day.
“This decides who comes third and gets a second chance in the finals so it is a big game for us on the field and also off the field for the club,” Gleeson said.
However, Gleeson hasn’t put too much pressure on the ladder position.
“It is handy to have the second chance but at the end of the day you still have to beat the same teams to get to the end of the finals,” he said.
Wagga City have been forced to make a number of changes for the clash.
With Rory Sheard suspended after picking up his third yellow card for the season last week, James Maloney comes into flanker.
Gleeson doesn’t expect it will be a big change.
“We have plenty of depth in the back row,” he said.
“Irish (Maloney) will come straight back in so we are losing much really.
“It’s like for like.”
However, the Boiled Lollies have also reshuffled their back line to cover a shoulder injury to James Curgenven.
Curgenven was injured in the win against Ag College on Saturday and while fears of a long-term injury have subsided, City are not sure when he’ll be fit.
“There is no use in rushing him back, we will take our time and see what happens,” Gleeson said.
“I think he should be fine (for finals), it was a bit of a scare on Saturday but once it’s cooled down it has turned out to be not too bad.”
It means Jesse Uhr switches to fullback with Jon Solomon in at inside centre, Keifer Power pushing to outside centre while Jarrod Petersen comes onto the wing.
Tumut scored a 29-19 win earlier this year but with the big day at home and plenty of the line, Gleeson is confident his team can hit back.
“We weren't real happy with how we played last time but we have faith in ourselves and what we can do,” he said.
“Hopefully if we can control the game we can play the way we want to play and can change the result around.”
The Bulls have also been boosted by Josef Glamuzina and Menzies Seumanutafa coming back into the team.
