A man who allegedly burnt down a Mount Austin home and set fire to property at a Wagga residence while the occupants slept is set to face court.

Steven Simon Buckland, 26, is facing six charges, with at least three relating to fire.
Buckland was charged with one count of breaking and entering to destroy property worth more than $60,000 and two counts of intentionally damaging or destroying property.
He was also charged with two counts of damaging or destroying property by fire as well as an aggravated break and enter.
A brief of evidence will be served to Wagga Local Court on August 23, with a reply date set for September 13.
Buckland remains in custody after bail was refused on Wednesday. Magistrate Michael Crompton placed an order to have Buckland appear via video link at the next mention.
