Acting crime manager Inspector Phil Malligan has warned tradesman to secure and lock up their tools to combat what has become a “daily occurrence”.
Inspector Malligan said from 2016 to 2017, power tools were the most commonly reported stolen item, with some thieves using portable angle grinders to remove padlocks.
